This section contains 5 documents that cover everything needed to start using Asset Pro:

1. Role Center & Navigation​

Learn your home base - the Asset Manager Role Center

Process:

  1. Read Role Center & Navigation (10 min)

  2. Run AI Setup Wizard (5 min)

  3. Read Asset Pro Basics (15 min)

  4. Start creating assets!

Time to productive: ~30 minutes

📦 Path 2: Demo Data Import (BEST FOR LEARNING)​

Best for:

  • Evaluating Asset Pro

  • Training users

  • Learning the system hands-on

  • Want pre-built examples

Process:

  1. Read Role Center & Navigation (10 min)

  2. Import Demo Data (10 min)

  3. Explore sample assets (30-60 min)

  4. Read Asset Pro Basics when ready (15 min)

  5. Try all features with demo data

Time to productive: ~1-2 hours with full exploration

⚙️ Path 3: Manual Configuration (MOST CONTROL)​

Best for:

  • Need custom/complex configuration

  • Want complete control over setup

  • Have specific requirements

  • Administrators who understand BC setup

Process:

  1. Read Role Center & Navigation (10 min)

  2. Read Setup & Configuration (20 min)

  3. Configure number series and settings

  4. Read Asset Pro Basics (15 min)

  5. Move to Configuration section to build structure

Time to productive: ~2-3 hours including configuration

Common First-Time Questions​

"Do I need to configure everything manually?"​

No! Use the AI Setup Wizard to generate your complete configuration automatically in 5 minutes.

"Can I try Asset Pro without configuring my real data?"​

Yes! Import the demo data package to explore a fully configured system with sample assets.

"What if I make a mistake during setup?"​

No problem! You can:

  • Re-run the AI Setup Wizard for different industries

  • Import demo data in a test company

  • Delete and recreate industries/classifications manually

"How long does setup take?"​

  • AI Wizard: 5-10 minutes

  • Demo Data: 10 minutes

  • Manual: 1-3 hours depending on complexity

"Can I use multiple industries?"​

Yes! You can configure as many industries as needed (FLEET, IT, MEDICAL, etc.). Each has its own classification structure and attributes.

"Do I need technical skills?"​

For AI Wizard or Demo Data: No technical skills needed
For Manual Configuration: Basic BC setup knowledge helpful but not required

Tips for Success​

Start Simple​

  • Begin with one industry

  • Create 5-10 test assets

  • Try basic operations (create, move, view history)

  • Add complexity gradually

  • AI Setup Wizard generates great starting configurations
